  3. Project Life Line A community-based physician-pharmacist collaborative project to improve patient health through the adoption of practices and education that will lead to safe and more effective use of opioid prescriptions, and ultimately reduce overdose and overdose deaths.

Collaborative Partners • Allegheny County Overdose Prevention Coalition • Select Giant Eagle, Walgreens and Medicine Shoppe pharmacies • Pain Clinics, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Practices • Program Evaluation and Research Unit, University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy • Duquesne University, School of Pharmacy • Prevention Point Pittsburgh

  5. Essential Features • Physicians agree to: • Discuss risks for overdose • Co-prescribe naloxone with opioid scripts
