  1. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ The church must have a Go Get ‘Em’ mentality. We can not wait on people to come to us; We’ve got to go get the people! (Matthew 28:20)

  2. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ There are 5 main purposes of the NT Church: Acts 2:42-47 “42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

  3. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ There are 5 main purposes of the NT Church: 1. Evangelism-spreading the gospel to add to the Kingdom Acts 2:47B “…..added to their number daily those who were being saved.” 2. Worship- corporate time together to praise God Acts 2:46-47A “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God…”

  4. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ There are 5 main purposes of the NT Church: 3. Fellowship-intimate time with one another Acts 2:42B “…..and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” 4. Discipleship- maturing by the teaching of the Word Acts 2:42A “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine…” 5. Ministry- meeting needs of the people Acts 2:45 “And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.”

  5. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ There are 5 main purposes of the NT Church: *Many churches emphasize a few of these purposes, but God wants us to be balanced and do all of these purposes well. *If the church is not intentional in fulfilling all of these purposes, the church will become a personality driven church by gravitating to the pastor’s strength instead of it becoming a purpose driven church. *NRS is great at Fellowship, Ministry, & we’re pretty good at Corporate Worship. We must be intentional at getting better at EVANGELISM & DISCIPLESHIP.

  6. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ EVANGELISM Luke 10:2 “These were his instructions to them: "The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, and ask him to send out more workers for his fields.” *In Luke 9, Jesus sent his 12 disciples out to preach. *In Luke 10, Jesus sends 70 more disciples out to heal the sick. *Even with 82 dedicated workers, Jesus still implies that it is not enough.

  7. LET’S GO GET ‘EM’ EVANGELISM Luke 10:2 “These were his instructions to them: "The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, and ask him to send out more workers for his fields.” *Even with a Bible class averaging right around 200 people, THE LABORERS ARE STILL FEW. *I pray that God will send people to truly get involved in our evangelism and outreach effort for Classic Weekend. (PRAY HARD)
