When the Thorium Scam first made the headlines, many firms were raided in Tamil Nadu. One of these firms, was VV Mineral Mining. This raid made lot of controversy and the collector of Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu was transfered. Many blamed UPA government for his transfer. However, VV Minerals were never a part of any 48 lack crore scam and no evidence of illegal beach mining was found in this raid.

  2. When the Thorium Scam first made the headlines, many firms were raided. One of these firms was even VV Minerals • At the time, Ashish Kumar, the district collector of Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu was handling the case to crackdown the sand mafia. Sadly, within hours after the orders were given he was transferred • This created a lot of controversy and many blamed the then UPA government http://vvmineral.wordpress.com

  3. Sand quarries on the beaches of Vembar, Vaipar and Periyasamipuram were thought to be involved in the Rs. 48 lakhcrore scam. Unsurprisingly, no such evidence of any illegal activity was found to be conducted by VV Mineral. However, that could not be said of other companies that did carry out illegal beach mining activities • As of now, such corporations have been imposed fines and notified to the corrective authorities in Tamil Nadu http://vvmineralmining.wordpress.com
