In the recent wake of the alleged illegal beach sand mining scam in which VV Mineral has been falsely blamed is now also being asked to take responsibility for the beach sand erosion at Tuticorin. However, VV Minerals India and Vaikundarajan know better than to be flustered by this and cite natural causes for the apparent beach sand erosion at Tuticorin.

  1. Reasons Other Than Mining Not Taken Into Consideration For Erosion On Tuticorin Coast: VV Minerals

  2. When a collector of Tuticorin was denied access of certain parts of VV Minerals’ mining set up on the grounds of not carrying a legitimate search warrant; he raised a hue and cry against the company claiming something fishy.

  3. VV Minerals and its owner, S Vaikundarajan have stood against this bad tiding. However, matters become bad to worse when they were also blamed for the apparent beach sand erosion at Tuticorin.

  4. “Beach sand erosion is caused because of various natural and man-made causes and mining is just one of them. If mining truly is the cause of the erosion at Tuticorin then we are not to be blamed in isolation,” said Vaikundarajan.

  5. “Rains, changing landscapes, seasonal winds and land reclamation activities all are legitimate and unavoidable causes of beach sand erosion,” continued Vaikundarajan, Chairman, VV Minerals.

  6. VV Minerals India and S Vaikundarajan have no hands in the alleged illegal beach sand mining scam and definitely have very little to do with the coast erosion as VV Minerals uses eco-friendly processes for their mining activities.

  7. To reiterate their innocence VV Minerals spokesperson says, “VV Minerals is not the only mining company conducting mining activities on the coast of Tuticorin.”

  8. “Many other mining companies have also been taking advantage of the available resources at the Tuticorin coast and all mining companies need to share equal responsibility for the coastal erosion.” concluded VV Minerals
