  1. 2/11 Winter Olympics! Warm Up: • Energy diagram these two situations in your journal (LABEL) • Happy ball (Bright Green Bouncy Ball) being dropped • Sad Ball (Black Bouncy Ball) being dropped.

  2. From your Features:Energy Diagrams SOURCE RECEIVER TYPE TYPE If you have multiple sources, draw multiple boxes If you have multiple receivers, draw multiple receivers and where its energy came from

Your Task: • Choose ONE Winter Olympic event and diagram the energy transfers that occur. • If the person/object starts with a certain amount of energy, make sure you address where it goes • Diagram on large paper you and your partner’s energy diagram for your ONE event • And remember friction plays a roll in Olympic events (therefore heat needs to exist on your diagram)

  5. Your Task: • Once done, leave your poster on your table and gallery walk to look at every one else’s. • On the back of your poster, you and your partner will list out what you saw was similar and what was different among the groups. • Turn in to basket with your names on them.
