  3. Be prepared for class each day with math book, pencils, composition book, and highlighter. 2. Raise your hand for assistance. 3. If it is not yours, please do not touch it. 4. Respect yourself and others.

  4. Classroom Movement Sharpen your pencil and get out your materials as soon as you enter the room. All students should be seated and ready to start class on time. • Be considerate and quiet when visitors enter the room. • When traveling outside of the classroom, walk in a straight line. • At the end of class, clean up your area around your desk. Make sure all of your trash is in the trash basket. • I will dismiss class, not the bell.

  5. Materials Needed: Pencils and Notebook Paper NO PENS Composition Book (3 or 5 subject) Highlighter (any color) Folder with Pockets

  6. HOMEWORK • There will be homework all nights except for Friday night. • All homework is to be completed in the composition book- not on notebook paper. • All homework is to be done in pencil. • Assignments will range from 10 to 20 problems depending on the material we are covering. • Homework WILL BE checked at the start of every class. • Completed homework receives a 100. • No homework results in a 0.

  7. TESTS • Tests will be given each Friday. • They will cover information taught the previous week or weeks. • Pencils will be used to take tests. • Tests will be returned on Monday or Tuesday of the next week and sent home for a signature from the parent. • 5 extra points will be added to the test for the signature of the parent as it is considered a homework assignment to keep the parent involved. • If a test is not returned, the parent may be contacted to inform them of the current test grade.

  8. Consequences for inappropriate behaviors in class • All rules are to be followed in the classroom, if not, consequences will occur. • 1st Time – A verbal warning will be given to the child • 2nd Time – A team conference will be held with the child • 3rd Time – Parent will be contacted. (Phone conversation or conference at school. ) • 4th Time - Student will receive After School Detention • 5th Time – Write up to the Administration

  9. Parnell’s Creed • You are here to learn. • I am here to teach. • We are not here to play, so do not ask for free days. There will be none. I am not a babysitter. • Always be prepared, I will be. • Respect me and I will respect you. • I will work hard to make sure you learn, make sure you work hard to learn. • ALWAYS, ALWAYS, let me know when you do not understand something!!! I cannot help you if I do not know that you need help!!!
