  5. STEMS • A systematic study of vocabulary, focusing on Greek and Latin roots that are embedded in the words. • This is a cumulative study that students are assessed on every other week. • Students should study ALL STEMS CARDS to prepare for every test, not just the current list. • Only vocabulary from the current list will be assessed for every test.

  6. Grammar • Students will be learning the eight parts of speech, with a focus on pronouns. • Students will be assessed periodically, and this too will be cumulative. • Students will be expected to use proper grammar and punctuation upon instruction.

  7. Missed Assignments • Students are responsible for finding out their missed work when absent. Each teacher has a system in place on the procedure for submitting make-up work. • If a student is absent, they will have a total of two school days for EACH day absent. • Work that is not turned in after the allotted time, will result in a zero for the assignment. • Please check your teacher’s Moodle Site while absent to avoid falling further behind.
