  1. Presentation Title- suggestive of final design- neither too cute, nor too wordy Client’s name Names of Team Members

  2. Design Statement Should be the same as, or very similar to, the design statement in your design brief • Gets at the heart of what the client needs • Does not contain an implied solution • Is written clearly

  3. Constraints • List of constraints. • Should make sense • Should generally agree with the constraints set forth in the design brief • Slight changes are allowed, if you realized some of the original constraints needed modification • Should include metrics when not obvious

  4. Objectives • List of key objectives and their weights • Should make sense • Should include metrics when not obvious • Should generally agree with the objectives set forth in the design brief • Slight changes are allowed, if you realized some of the original objectives needed modification • You must show the weighting, but you do not need to show the analysis you used to determine the weights

  5. Design Concept 1 • Provide enough information here to give the client a clear idea of what this concept is, and how it differs from the others • Provide concept sketch or sketches with overall dimensions. You do NOT need detailed drawings • You may use more than one page per concept if you need to • This design concept should fulfill the intended function of the artifact and satisfy all constraints. In other words, it should be a satisfactory design

  6. Design Concept 2 • Provide enough information here to give the client a clear idea of what this concept is, and how it differs from the others • Provide concept sketch or sketches with overall dimensions. You do NOT need detailed drawings • You may use more than one page per concept if you need to • This design concept should fulfill the intended function of the artifact and satisfy all constraints. In other words, it should be a satisfactory design

  7. Design Concept 3 • Provide enough information here to give the client a clear idea of what this concept is, and how it differs from the others • Provide concept sketch or sketches with overall dimensions. You do NOT need detailed drawings • You may use more than one page per concept if you need to • This design concept should fulfill the intended function of the artifact and satisfy all constraints. In other words, it should be a satisfactory design

  8. Selection Process • Show the analysis (e.g. the decision matrix) used to select the best design.

  9. Optimum Design Alternative • Repeat the concept sketch from before, perhaps provide more details in the form of detailed sketches, more detailed verbal description. • Convince the client that this really is the best design choice
