  5. Planning To plan effective Quality Monitoring, you must: • Risk assessor your colleagues using eQPR • Review what monitoring activities have been completed in the last quarter • Plan the quality monitoring activities for the learner

  6. Desk Top sample This is your formative sample. • Selection of planned learners should be completed against all routes but ensure that sufficient progress has been made to warrant a sample. • Use the sample plan

  7. Desk Top sample Verification of the A1 process • How was the planning? • What were the judgements like? • Was constructive feedback provided to the learner?

  8. KLP- Field Visits The monthly Sample Plan will designate the focus of the Key Learner Processes (KLP) for that month. Other KLP’s may still be observed if additional support is required for that TA Always select the learners using the caseload list. You need to ensure the right learner is selected for the process chosen

  9. Learner & employer Surveys If a survey is completed then this needs to be with learner & employer These are electronic and as much additional comments should be gained to gain true benefit to the process

  10. Full Final or Admin check? The type of summative monitoring needs to be planned for each learner due that quarter The choice of full or admin check? How to decide?

  11. Final - Full sample (BP660) You need to complete this on a BP660 You must complete first check the audit trail. • Visit records, feedback comments, reviews. Then choose units from the sample planner and select evidence that crosses over this using the guidance on method in the sample planner

  12. Final – Admin check (BP730) This is the minimum check that needs to be completed on a BP730. All of the following must be covered: • Learner & company profile • Any desktop feedback addressed • Audit trail • Matrix checks • Assessment strategy followed. • Constructive feedback given to the learner

  13. Admin checks An Admin check focuses on the ensuring the A1 process has been followed. The document to use is the BP730. If when completing the administration check, there seem to be inconsistencies. A full sample will need to take place.
