  • Lack of lubrication

  • Improper mounting of rail or carriage

  • Wear of wiper, damage of wiper

  • Overload or crash

  • Lack of lubrication

  • More than 50% of failurs are caused by lack of lubrication.

  • Main reasons for lack of lubrication: failure in the lubrication system of the machine, lubrication washed out by coolant.

  • Detection of failure because of discoloration of the rail track. Brown or blue discolorations are an indicator for friction (not enough oil film between elements).
