There comes a time I am told When all grow somewhat old And they honestly desire

There comes a time I am told When all grow somewhat old And they honestly desire To give up all and retire. All come to the crossroads And hear their questions echoed. Where to go? What to do? How to give up old for new?. As I face my autumn years, I am filled with many fears.

  1. There comes a time I am told When all grow somewhat old And they honestly desire To give up all and retire.

  2. All come to the crossroads And hear their questions echoed. Where to go? What to do? How to give up old for new?

  3. As I face my autumn years, I am filled with many fears. For I too do not know Down which road I will go.

  4. Will I retreat to some dreary room And paint for me a life of doom, Or will I go out with a fight And hold to life with all my might?

  5. I know my limbs are weak, And they will keep me very meek. But, my mind is headstrong. Though I cannot run – I’ll walk along.

  6. I’ll put my hand in God’s hand And trust not in the might of man. Down the road of life I go, Fighting along blow by blow.
