  1. Augmented Reality for AEC bringing the Virtual Designs into the Real-World Augmented reality for AEC is being widely adopted by many industries and is extensively transforming the way they used to work. Augmented reality has totally replaced the traditional methods used in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. Superimposing 3D objects from BIM onto the real physical site to enhance the design visualization process for the final outcome even before any construction actually begins saves a lot of effort, time, and money. You get the exact outcome in 3D that can be viewed through HoloLens or even in a smartphone. AR can streamline traditional processes for architects, designing teams, project managers, and engineers meaning the design clashes can be detected at the initial stage itself, and corrected, thereby completing the project in the minimum timeframe. The software used easily integrates large BIM files to live field sites keeping dimensions, textures, and materials the same it is. Accuracy and precision is the biggest advantage of AR in construction sites. With AR in AEC, the architects and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) professionals can create, and improve an extensive and multidimensional environment that can be visualized leaving opportunities for improvements and fixing any flaws before fabrication begins. The functionality and versatility of AR make it possible to visualize and approve the project before beginning the actual implementation. It’s like visualizing how your building will like well in advance. Technological advancement is beneficial in reducing costs, providing convenience, saving time, and utilizing fewer resources. The customization and alteration process becomes simple and quick through AR rather than a physical change, making it easy to meet the requirements. Augmented reality architecture is beneficial to the trainees during their internships they can experience AR and can attain advanced knowledge by working on intricate elements in real-time. It merges the virtual and real-world into one having propensity to demonstrate things with precision & accuracy to ensure quality assurance.
