  1. Challenger “Feel the Horse Power” Designed By Keystone Amusement Design Consultants

  2. Safety • At K.A.D.C. we design our coasters above and beyond the the expectations of the rider. • We use state of the art technology in order to ensure that every rider has a safe and enjoyable experience • All of our coasters are up to date with all technological advancements and are checked daily for any signs of danger.

  3. The Ride • Challenger is a high speed roller coaster that is designed to simulate the experience of driving a fast and powerful muscle car. • Why Challenger out performs the rest? • This state of the art roller coaster is designed to provide the smoothest and fastest ride of your life! • Challenger uses as many recycled materials as possible in the areas of train design, station design and special effects.

  4. The Ride Continued • Challenger uses tubular stainless steel for all supports, train frame-work and the track. • Challenger uses state of the art technologies to create a sturdy yet conservative track design. • At Keystone Amusement Design Consultants we strive to use all of our resources efficiently so that nothing goes to waste. • That is why we are the best, every dollar you spend is used to its maximum potential without any waste.

  5. Challenger “Feel the Horse power” • Challenger starts out with a straight down drop with a photo booth to take your picture. • This part of the ride simulates the rider sitting in a powerful muscle car at an empty intersection. • Since no cars are around you put the pedal to the floor and accelerate at 8.56 m/s^2 for 50 meters. At the end of the drop the rider is caught by a speed trap (the photo booth) getting your picture taken.

  6. Challenger “Feel The Horse Power” • The second part of this ride consists of a long slightly rising slope that lets you hear your engine roar! • The third part of this ride is a 40 meter tall loop. • Coming out of the loop you will be launched by magnets into a time trial drag race where you and the other riders will try to beat the time of the train before you.

  7. Challenger “Feel The Horse Power” • Out of the drag race the rider will speed through a large raised banked turn that simulates a Daytona 500 turn. • Out of the Daytona turn the rider will enter four banked helix turns experiencing a significant amount of g’s.

  8. Challenger “Feel The Horse Power” • Out of the Helix Turns the rider will enter a barrel roll which will simulate the car doing a barrel roll due to an unexpected speed-bump in the road. • Out of the barrel roll the rider goes off-road into a set of camel backs experiencing the effect of a shortcut through some woods.. • Out of the off-road onto the race track the rider will experience another banked Daytona 500 turn which leads the train back to the station.

  9. Track Design Diagram This Specific design is low cost and very durable. Due to its rubber bushings; any vibrations that may be present will be dampened reducing the amount of stress on welds, rivets or bolts through out the track. Solid 2 inch thick side rail brackets Circular side rails Rectangular center beam Tubular Stainless Steel support beams Heavy duty rubber bushing.

  10. Train Design Diagram Three wheels are used on the top, side and bottom to keep the train on the tracks. Rubber wheels The cars seen here are not the final product. The buyer can request three different models of trains for the coaster; 71 Nova, 2010 Challenger, 69 Cutlass or 2010 Mustang. Challenger Each car on the train has it’s own set of high quality polypropylene speakers and one ten inch subwoofer to ensure that your cars motor can be heard loud and clear. Large Rubber wheels used to create a smooth ride.

  11. Thank You • Challenger is brought to you by: Will Funkhouser and Joe Garnet • We would like to thank all of our fellow amusement design companies for instilling hope, ideas and encouragement in our company. Challenger would not be the same without your support.
