  3. Introduction At Traffic Solutions we are proud to offer a fully equipped and professionally staffed Skills Training and Assessment Centre. Our aim is to deliver high quality training that meets the requirements of your workforce and the industry in which we operate. The Training Centre is certified as a Highway Electrical Academy (HEA) Approved Training Organisation. Contents Back Next

  4. Our trainers Our courses are delivered by a team of professional trainers who between them have over 50 years of training experience. All are qualified to a minimum standard of Certificate in Education in Post Compulsory Education and Training. Each trainer holds relevant qualifications in their area of expertise, such as a HNC/HND or a Degree, and several are qualified NVQ assessors. All of our trainers are HEA approved and are well-placed to apply their existing knowledge to provide training that meets the industry standards. Contents Back Next

  5. Our facilities and methods Based at Traffic Solutions’ main site in Poole, the Training Centre has five fully equipped training rooms together with outside training facilities. Courses can also be held at a location of your choice, such as on your own premises, providing there are a sufficient number of delegates and adequate facilities exist. Our trainers utilise the latest learning methods, with an emphasis on a combination of classroom learning and practical hands-on training using the facilities on site. The team produce both comprehensive training documentation and effective Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to aid course delivery. Certificates can be issued to delegates either for attendance or achievement if the training undertaken included assessment. The latter will carry our industry based accreditations where appropriate. 6. Our portfolio We are approved by the HEA to provide training for the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) and offer a range of courses that meet the training specifications for the scheme. All our trainers are Authorising Officers for the NHSS and are qualified to assess the competency of personnel working in the highway electrical industry. As such, they can help your staff meet the requirements necessary to obtain a competency card. The Training Centre currently offers a considerable variety of courses to suit all levels of knowledge and experience on subjects ranging from health & safety, risk assessment and electrical theory & testing, through to the operation and management of Siemens’ systems, such as UTC. We take a flexible approach to training, so if there isn’t a course in our portfolio that meets your requirements, we can tailor an existing course or even design and develop a bespoke training solution to suit your needs. We also run a selection of open courses that individuals can attend. Please take a look at our website to see an up-to-date list of courses and dates available. Contents Back Next
