Region 4 PACE • Responsibilities • Provide training to new and continuing Section PACE leaders • Promote professional activities and authorize partial funding • Promote attendance to annual leadership workshop • Key items in 2005 • Authorized Funding for 9 PACE projects • 28 attended Leadership Workshop in 2005

Region 4 PACE Summary of PACE Projects: • $1,000 Cedar Rapids - Pro-Con • $ 500 Missouri Slope – NASA Speaker • $ 500 Siouxland – Project Management Workshop • $ 500 Cedar Rapids – Engineer’s Week Activities • $1,500 Nebraska – Professional Development • $2,000 Southeastern Michigan – Robofest • $ 300 Missouri Slope – Lecture Series f/students • $1,000 Rock River Valley – US First Robotics 933 • $ 500 Rock River Valley – US First Robotics 1625

Region 4 PACE 2006 – ADDITIONAL TASKS (1) • Request additional Region support for 2007 IEEE-USA Workshop participants. • Send Bi-monthly e-mail to Section & Region leaders with timely PACE information. • Request Section Professional Development Plan to be submitted to Region for review and comment.

  7. Region 4 PACE 2006 - ADDITIONAL TASKS (2) • Encourage each Section to have at least one pre-college competition in 2006. • Encourage each Section to use one of the presentations on the PACE CD at Section meetings. • Request creation of a “PACE BLOG” where Sections can share lessons learned and PACE success stories.

  8. Region 4 PACE 2006 - ADDITIONAL TASKS (3) • Request that information about what PACE is, its mission statement, and criteria for funding be put on the Region web site. • Request previous PACE project reports be put on the Region web site. • Request PACE CD to be put on the Region web site.
