First Targets • Write down your mark out of 75 and your grade • Write down how many more marks you needed to reach each of the 2 next grades • Now divide each of those numbers by 3 • You have worked out how many marks you need to improve for EACH question to get a better grade • THOSE ARE YOUR TWO TARGETS FOR EVERY LESSON BETWEEN NOW AND YOUR EXAM

  6. Revising Tourism – Checklist here This task will get you to both revise facts and link and organise them together. In other words it will move you from grade G to A* in your revision. You are going to revise ONE of the tourism case studies and present your results to the rest of the group. Your resources: your folder, your brains, the revision checklist

  7. What you have to do – part 1 • In your group write down as many words or phrases as you can think of about your topic. (level 1 in the mark scheme – describing. Grades G to D). Write each one on a laminated hexagon Feature of the topic Another feature of the topic

  8. What you have to do – part 2 Organise your hexagons so that you put them next to each other if they are LINKED together in some way. Keep moving them into different groupings until you hit on a formation you can explain. Write this explanation down This is now level 2 thinking-C to B grades

  9. What you have to do – part 3 Look at the intersections where you have 3 or more hexagons. Invent your own exam questions that include all of the ideas off these hexagons. Someone else will answer these This is now level 3 thinking

  10. Checking on your knowledge Look back at the blue arrow sheet. Which level are you now on for your topic? How can you prove it to me? Now try your skills on an exam question or two
