  4. Get to Know Me My experience My background I grew up in Hollywood, FL & Port St. Lucie, FL I attended Parkway Elementary, Forest Grove Middle School, & LPA. I graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in education. • I’ve taught high school and middle school. • I’ve taught in Tallahassee and Port St. Lucie • Any questions you want to ask me?

  5. My Family • My boyfriend’s name is Glen and he is an engineer. • I do not have any children • I have two dogs- Romeo, a Jack Russell Terrier mix and Minnie, a Black Mouth Cur mix.

  11. Seat Signals • Sign by pencil sharpener • 1 = drink • 2 = pencil • 3 = bathroom • 4 = tissue • 5 = question • Throw something away- raise hand (not while I am teaching) • Hand quiet signal • Goal 3-5 seconds

  14. Shoulder Partner’s • A/B • Timed Pair Share • Set time for partner to share/discuss. Then switch roles • Round Robin • Students take turn answering • Stand up- hand up – pair up • Students stand with hands up, find a partner, hands down, discuss using either Round robin or timed pair share • *I will ask what your partner shared with you! Pay attention! • Rally Coach • Students take turns solving a problem while the other coaches

  15. Groups • Four to a group • Assigned a role (see poster) • Recorder • Quiet captain • Leader • Manager • Helper (everyone)

  16. Class Reward System • Classes compete for 3 weeks • Class with the most earned points will earn a Friday reward • Weekly winning class  “Five Minute Friday” • Create class team name • Ways to earn points • Rewards
