Water – why is it important
• You can live for a month without eating
• You can live for a couple of days without drinking
• Water is critical to support life as we know it (C, H, O, N are the four main atoms associated with what makes life and two of those four are found in H2O)
Question:
• If the water cycle naturally cleans water why do we (humans) need to treat the water we use before discharging it back into the natural world?
