Tasks for 1998-1999 Shutdown • Hardware Installation and Tuning for 200 BPM’s • Completion of turn-by-turn data transfer (DMA) to provide simultaneous orbit and first-turn acquisitions • Slight modifications to the SPS orbit and TZ programs for full MOPOS system access and control (SL-OP) • Provision of remote diagnostics from any individual MOPOS system as well as for all MOPOS systems in a global view PCR SW Meeting 15-Jan-1999

Tasks During 1999 • Provide an automated calibration tool, replacing the expert procedure used in the 1998 run • Extend the turn-by-turn display to provide calibrated trajectories instead of raw data • Provide a new application tool for exploitation of the turn-by-turn analysis (equivalent to LEP 1000-turn) • Commission the remote timing diagnostics tool • Maintaining two acquisition systems in BA2 and BA6 for phase advance until ported to MOPOS PCR SW Meeting 15-Jan-1999

  17. External Support Needed • Computer network, operational servers and the oracle database during tuning • Machine timing i.e. Machine events, turn clock and injection pre-pulses from SL/CO, SL/RF • Slight transformation of the SPS orbit and transfer zone applications from SL/OP ( for SPS start-up) • Acceptance tests with SL/OP and SL/BI PCR SW Meeting 15-Jan-1999
