  1. Planetary Science Archive PSA User Group Meeting #1 PSA Content: Status and Discussion PSA UG #1  July 2 - 3, 2013  ESAC

  2. Giotto Huygens Rosetta Smart-1 Venus Express Mars Express PSA : one archive, several missions ALL IN PDS FORMAT

  3. Current Status, Available Datasets • GIOTTO data from comet Halley and Gripp-Skellerup • Comet Halley ground-based observations (Halley-Watch) • Comet Wirtanen ground-based observations • Mars Express instrument and auxiliary data (ongoing) • Venus Express instrument and auxiliary data (ongoing) • Smart-1 instrument and auxiliary data (pending) • Rosetta instrument and auxiliary data (ongoing) • Huygens (complete) • BepiColombo data handling and archive support – in preparation • ESA supported instruments on Chandrayaan 1 – pipeline development and support from PSA

  4. Mission and Instrument Status • Almost all instrument / mission data is up to date in terms of the corresponding Archive Plan • Several improvements in recent years, internally and with external relations, have engendered this: • Improved delivery status from instruments • Improved response from PSA-DH and DT • Agreement on Rosetta with PDS for data releases and review set up • Internal production and release of data on SMART-1 • Additional push to improve the response from reviews and provide data at least via ftp

  5. Data content status • Look through the PSA content in real time. • Try to evaluate, for data relevant to your discipline: • Is there sufficient documentation and information to understand the science data? • Can users identify the data they need to perform their scientific investigation? • Are there any existing tools we can identify to help users in utilising the data? • Are there tools we might think about developing internally? • What more can be done in all of the above cases?

  6. Mars Express Status

  7. Venus Express Status

  8. Rosetta Status

  9. Rosetta Status (lander)

  10. Huygens / SMART-1 Status

  11. Other Missions Status • Ground-based data to support Giotto and Rosetta are fully archived • The complete Giotto data volume is available directly through PSA • Additional efforts are underway to provide the following data through the PSA: • Ulysses Jupiter fly-by • ATV (TBC)
