Important changes • BP/AR 5121 • Grades shall be based primarily on the degree of student master of course content standards • Student learning is demonstrated by class work by class work, portfolios, labs, papers, oral and written performances, project and teacher observation. • Students can not receive a zero for missing work • Rubrics will be used for individuals grades in group work

  4. Assignments beyond the timeline • Independent reading • Projects • Test preparation • Advanced courses including Advanced Placement and Honors • Band • Sports • Other extra Curricular activities, i.e., drama and cheerleading

Next Step • Generate a school homework plan to present for Back to School Night. • Make sure it is the same for the grade with collaboration developed with the Principal • Needs to include • Consistencies within courses and departments • The maximum percentage that no-academic factors can affect course grades • Course advancement prerequisites • Homework feedback and accountability • Communication with students, parents/guardians, and teachers
