  10. Neatness Write neatly. These people must be able to read your journal: • You • Your teacher • Your parent • Your friends • Still you!

  11. Neatness includes: • Only write MATH – “I can…” statement, problems, definitions, explanations, your thinking • No doodling • Work top to bottom • Glue carefully • Use front and back of each page

  12. Completeness • If the teacher writes it, it is important! • If you are absent, get notes from your teacher or a reliable friend

  13. Take Your Journal Home Each Night • This is your personal math book • Keep your thinking handy when working homework • Impress parents, siblings, and friends

  15. Bring Your Journal to School Every Day • This is your personal math book – if you don’t bring it, it will be empty • Keep your thinking handy while you’re learning • Impress your teacher, friends, and Tony Romo– really!
