  1. Easy Lighting Travel Belt Chloe E. 8 years old Mississippi, USA

  2. Step 1- Think It! People are losing their money and credit cards at gas stations, stores, and everywhere people shop. I saw a woman who lost her credit card at a gas station. That is one reason why I am making a Travel Belt . I am going to make a travel belt (belts that hold coins, cash, and credit cards) that have small LED lights in the waist band. There are two kinds of things you do to make the things stay together, Velcro or a zipper. It is very bad when people lose their money, so that is my second reason why I am making it.

  3. Step 2- Explore It! In my research, I found that travel belts have already been made with Velcro but hardly any have zippers. Also, money must be rolled to fit into those belts. Sometimes that leads to the money ripping.

  4. Documentation of Sources “Money Belts.” Travel Belts. 02-14-14. “Travel Belts.” What are Travel Belts. 02-16-14. “What do Travel Belts do”. Travel Belt”. 02-18-14.

  5. Step 3- Sketch It! Outside of travel belt credit cards LED lights Inside of travel belt 1 dollar bill 1 dollar bill zipper

  6. Step 4- Create It! My dad and I got scissors and tried to cut a hole for the zipper, but the belt was too thick. We got a knife and tried it again. The knife cut a hole, so we used it and put the zipper in. Last but not least, we had to put the LED lights in the front .

  7. Step 5- Try It! I walked around in it for a while but the money and the lights didn’t stay in. So we tweaked it.

  8. Step 6- Tweak It! My dad and I made a travel belt that is movable and is a purse at the same time. My dad and I got a purse to hold the money and used rivets to attach the purse with nylon straps to the back of the belt. A person can take it off or move it side to side. Then, we decided to call it the Bling Bag.

  9. Step 7-Sell It! • You should buy the Bling Bag because you can put it on any belt you want or even accessorize it. The Bling Bag will help you anywhere. It also goes with anything. It helps in the dark with an artificial LED light.
