  1. Don’t know what to do with your summer? Are you staying in Gainesville? • Al’z Place • care for people age 18+ with Alzheimer’s disease or severe memory impairment. Therapeutic activities include physical exercise; active and quiet games; reminiscence; validation therapy; doll therapy; and other failure-free activities. Lunch and two snacks per day are provided. • Have a steady amount of volunteers during the school year, but in desperate need of help during the summer to keep their ratios to state standards.

Horses Helping People [HOPE] • To provide a safe and enjoyable environment where individuals with special needs benefit from developmental, therapeutic, and educational equine-oriented activities. • To improve the individual's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills through equine assisted therapy. • To build a cooperative link within the community through educational opportunities.
