Web 2.0 means the condition where beginner writers and developers are able to create applications and Web sites that get more authority than news sources and software sellers.

  5. Research • How did Web 2.0 develop in today’s society? • It helped people like us interact on the any website with each other to able to speak, chat , write, read etc… • What kind of people use Web 2.0? • Web 2.0 is about the people, when it comes down to it. So it has to be inclusive. The definitions of technologists, social scientists, web designers, philosophers, educators, business people, anybody - they all count

  6. Research • What are the benefits/advantages of the elements that Web 2.0 covers? • Look at what the education community is doing with the Web, for example. They are not only starting to use the tools of Web 2.0 - blogs, wikis, pod casts, etc. They are also adapting to a new generation of kids who are growing up on the Web, the so-called ‘Digital Natives’. The challenge for educators now and for the future is to learn and teach Internet literacy, converse and collaborate with their students using Web tools, and help our children make sense of the huge amounts of information and media that surround us.

  7. Research • What are the disadvantages of the elements that web 2.0 covers? • Could get ever dictating [for under age children, teenagers & even young/older adults], out of hand [too much population, less population, too much unnecessary information etc…] and most probably become corrupted, [viruses, hacking etc..]. • Which elements of Web 2.0 suit your use as a student? • As in educational rights for example; to learn and teach Internet literacy, converse and collaborate with their students using Web tools, and help children make sense of amounts of information and media.
