  • LIDAR Based Laser system sends 64 different beams of light and measures the distance/shape/size of objects

  • 28 ½ measurements per second

  • Combined with Radars and Wheel encoders

    • Produces incredibly precise image of surroundings

Is it practical

Is it Practical?

Pros:

  • Can be applied to any car

  • Proven to be safe

  • More fuel efficient

  • On wide scale use, would decongest traffic

    Cons:

  • $150,000 in equipment each

  • Not legal in most states

    • Laws would have to be re-written
