The Factors Pet Owners Should Consider 24/7 for Pet Safety!

Americans alone spend 50 billion $ on pet food and basic pet care (hostels, parlors, healthcare, and so on). It should be noted that if pet owners spend a little on pet safety, then future intensive care will also become taken care of and this will save costs in the long run. These steps are easy to follow and based on common sense. We at Clawpal highly advice you to make safety measures a regular routine!

  1. Elevators: When entering an elevator make sure the pet and the whole part of its leash are inside the elevator. Only then press the button. Also, never let any pet go into the elevator by itself. Electrical Chords: Pet owners should keep electrical chords out of site as pets have a habit of testing chords by first chewing them. If the pets are rabbits, sugar gliders, and/or hamsters and white mice, they are liable to choke on them. Today, chords are embedded in a PoP (Plaster of Paris) fitting. Tagging: This is essential for detecting the pet when it is lost. Various humane societies, animal shelters, pounds, RSPCA, NGOs will call you if they find out the address and phone number on the tag. Some pet owners put GPS (Global Positioning System) chips in their pet collars that will locate them if they are lost. These GPS chips make use of GIS (Geographical Information System) sensors. Mr. Sunshine and Mrs. Frost: Although some of each is actually beneficial, even needed, having too much can be disastrous, even life threatening! In pets that are mammals, the deciding variable is how much fur/hair the animal has, while in case of a cold-blooded pets like a Boa Constrictor, African Spur Thighed (Sulcata) Tortoise or a Bearded Dragon, the exposure time will be a factor! Decorations Accessories: It is important for pet owners to be aware and cognizant when purchasing home decorations. Small objects, if swallowed, may cause one to choke. Some plants or flowers may cause allergic reactions and rashes in animals. Also, it is better not to keep toxic plants around the house! Processed Foods:Pet owners find it amusing when their pets beg for food and eat lavishly, processed foods like chips (occasionally), chocolates (everyday!), cakes (maybe on their birthdays)! The problem lies in human nature in that humans like to personify their pets! However, they should instead, focus on a species and breed-centric diet if they love them dearly. Many (if not all) processed foods are disastrous to the health of pets. Pets must have raw food as a major component in their diet. Also, did you know that chocolates, some grains, and milk are toxic to many animals? Common Sense and Humanity: It always pays to use some common sense and loads of humanity!

  2. It is a fact that we would not be human if we, as responsible pet ownerscan’t treat our pets with the right volition. They are our friends and not our slaves!
