    • Coronary heart disease (CHD) is most common form of CVD

      • Usually caused by atherosclerosis

  • Atherosclerotic plaques can raise blood pressure, cause abnormal blood clotting, and cause heart attacks and strokes. Recommendations for prevention and treatment include dietary interventions, quitting smoking, and regular physical activity. The most common form of CVD is coronary heart disease (CHD), which develops due to atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries.
