Split your paper in ½ vertically • Label the top left “Box 1: Summary” and top right “Box 2: What Does it Mean” • You will complete thorough paragraphs for each box. • Be certain that you have textual evidence for the 2nd box. • Submit YOUR own work before you leave. This is INDIVIDUAL and NOT to be COPIED! CCR 4-Square

  5. 10 minutes 2 annotation entries + Write on a separate sheet of paper - Identify the Main Character/ Protagonist - Give a brief description of them - Select 1 line that you feel is representative of them and copy this down with proper citation. SSR #9 10/15/14

  9. EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY -Summative Assignment= Summative Extra Credit 2 Options: Deliver the Speech to the class on the DUE DATE. This is not a simple reading…I could read them aloud. Instead, your job is to look to precedent set in history. Consider HOW you speak. HOW to pause and annunciate, etc… Create a coordinating campaign poster for the cause or position. For example, if you are a parent speaking about the dangers of drugs, then create an effective billboard, such as the one below. DUE DATE: Tuesday, October 21st

  11. Bellwork 2-C Monday, 11/20/14 Watch the following clips, of the beginning of various speeches, then determine what they have in common. Write down a statement that describes what each introduction does. How is the speaker beginning to address his/her audience? Then, you will try 3 different ways to begin your own speech. Who are you? Who is your audience? How do you grab their attention?
