New Orleans unique language • They have created their own language. • They use words like, Lagniappe, Parish, Laissez les bons temps rouler, Gumbo Ya-Ya, and, Yat. • Yat Is a greeting like “How are you?”, Gumbo Ya-Ya Is when your at a party and It’s loud, Laissez les bons temps rouler means let the good times role, Parish Is an area in the suburbs, and Lagniappe means something extra.

  3. Major events/Festivals • Of course New Orleans Isn’t the same with It’s crazy festivals! • Some festivals are, Mardi Gras, Louisiana Swamp festival, Running of the bulls, Bayou boogaloo, Soul fest, and BBQ fest. But these are just a few of the fun events! • Mardi Gras is the most popular

  4. MARDI GRAS!!!! Mardi Gras is music, parade, picnic, and floats. Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold! They also dress in crazy costumes. People from the floats throw many things at you, especially beads! During Mardi Gras, or “Fat Tuesday” all of the business roads are practically shut down and everyone walks every where.

Things to do in New Orleans • For family attractions you can visit, The French Quarter, World War II museum, Audubon Zoo (Which is one of the more famous in the East), City Park, Children's Museum, Audubon Park, and Mardi Gras. • For adults attractions you can do, A Steamboat evening Jazz cruise, grand tour of Cajun Country, Airboat ride and plantation tour, Swamp sightseeing, Cocktail walking tour, City tour, Mardi Gras, and Cemetery and Voodoo walking tour.

  6. Bayou fishing • For Bayou fishing there are many options such as, Catch N’ Blast, Crabbing Excursion, Bow fishing excursion, Spin fishing, Fly fishing, and Bayou kayaking for redfish.
