1. Parenting : put your best foot forward The morning of 8th December began on a chirpy note as cheerful toddlers, children walked inside the premises of​ GG International School to attend a free parent counselling session organised by the iParent Club. The iParent Club is a social initiative intended to create a community of parents, educators and experts to make parenting an easier, enriching and happier experience for everyone in Pune. And, most importantly, to nurture happy, well-balanced children. The speaker for the day was Mr.ShivaprasadMantri who gave the audience an enlightening insight into the life of Shivaji Maharaja and learning from the warrior the art of never giving up and thinking out of the box. He began his discourse throwing light on defining Parenting, its effect on children and then went on to explain the effect of "Good Parenting" by drawing examples from Shivaji's life. He spoke about how children closely observe their parents and become what we intend to make them. He narrated the incident when Shivaji was 4 years old

2. and his mother's courage, alertness and planning demonstrated during a dire circumstance at the point of time inspired him during the planing of the Agra Rescue. Later Chief Mentor, GGIS Ms.Sonu Gupta added to the enriching session by re-iterating points from Mr.Mantri's and stated that it is upon us how what we make of our children, like Jijabai called Shivaji "Raje" much before he ascended the throne, similarly if we make the choice of always looking up to our children then definitely we shall see positive changes in them. The day came to a fruitful end with children enjoying some fun filled activities organised for them by the school.
