  2. BI BusObj XI 3.1 Upgrade • Benefits • Web Intelligence benefits to new IT (and you, indirectly) • Release 3.1 provides better change control and rollback for migrations/updates • Release 3.1 makes security tighter and less cumbersome.

  3. BI BusObj XI 3.1 Upgrade • Benefits • Web Intelligence (Cont’d) • Still two levels of access: InfoView and WebI • InfoView access in XI 3.1 offers enhanced formatting capabilities: • Edit reports including formatting text, columns, and report layout • CANNOT edit the underlying queries

BI BusObj XI 3.1 Upgrade • Aug 17 Timeline and Detail • Web Intelligence • Upgrading from XI R2 to XI R3.1 • No report conversions • User testing phase completed, issues resolved • Some users of complex custom reports were invited to validate the reports in 3.1 yield same results as in R2 • Traditional user testing in June/July timeframe for 3+ weeks • Production Readiness Testing on go-live weekend 8/16

BI BusObj XI 3.1 Upgrade • Aug 17 Timeline and Detail • Web Intelligence (Cont’d) • After Close of Business on Wednesday, 8/12 – Any changes to your Favorites or Inbox will be lost. • After Close of Business on Wednesday, 8/12 – Access requests will continue to be accepted, but will be placed in queue until after go-live (8/17) • Go/Delay decision was 7/20, and communication to all BusinessObjects users went out 7/22 that we are going live 8/17. • Stability issues that caused the delay in June have been resolved.

BI BusObj XI 3.1 Upgrade • Aug 17 Timeline and Detail • Web Intelligence (Cont’d) • Contingency plan for problems encountered in first 2 weeks • XI R2 version running concurrently • For user(s) unable to run a report in XI 3.1 • If we cannot resolve issue quickly, they can use it while resolution continues in XI 3.1
