  4. Computer Hardware Computer hardware is the physical components that make up the computer. This includes • CPU (Central Processing Unit) • Memory • Input devices • Output Devices

  5. Binary • Binary is the number system of computers. • Think of it like a light switch, it is either ON or OFF. • We show this using the numbers 1 and 0. • 1 for on • 0 for off

  7. Computer Specifications How many of you have bought, or helped your parents buy, a computer or laptop? How many of you have been confused by the specifications of computers?

  8. These are 2 different types of CPU/Processor manufacturer This is how many billions of processes it can run per second.   10. Task 2: • Use the internet to find computers for potential clients. • Your aim is to find the best value for money. Make sure you shop around, and try different websites.
