The OH-TECH Consortium Ohio Supercomputer Centerprovides high performance computing, software, storage and support services for Ohio’s scientists, faculty, students, businesses and their research partners. OARnetconnects Ohio’s universities, colleges, K-12, health care and state and local governments to itshigh-speed fiber optic network backbone. OARnet services include co-location, support desk, federated identity and virtualization. OhioLINK serves nearly 600,000 higher education students and faculty by providing a statewide system for sharing 50 million books and library materials, while aggregating costs among its 90 member institutions. eStudent Services provides students increased access to higher education through e-learning and technology-enhanced educational opportunities, including virtual tutoring. Research & Innovation Center will operate, when opened, as the proving grounds for next-generation technology infrastructure innovations and a catalyst for cutting-edge research and collaboration.

Purpose of Each EBSCO Resource • EDSsearch multiple fields down to the article/item level for your entire collection, including your library catalog, in the familiar EBSCOhostplatform • A-to-Za searchable, title-level list of all your database, e-journal package, and individual e-journal content • LinkSourceserves as a seamless OpenURL connector between online services where the user is searching for an item and the full text is found elsewhere in your collection; use LinkSource to link to your ILL forms

  18. Go to your EBSCOadmin, databases tab and set the OhioLINK resource to "on" or "off," depending on your preference.  Remember to click the "submit" button on the bottom of the page.

  20. Link to Catalog Record Limiter to filter results from catalog Result List for a Search Term: pediatric cardiology Note: the ILL link appearing on the result list can be customized to appear only if the item is not available.

  21. The Basic and Advanced Search pages have a limiter for catalog results as well as location. Note: the Northeast Ohio Medical University catalog has been set as a default catalog

  22. In the Location Limiter box users have the option to select “All” locations or OhioLINK Library Catalog in addition to NEOMED

  23. In EBSCOadmin, select the EBSCO Discovery Service profile to customize catalog settings.

  24. Select the Customize Service main tab and the Databases subtab to add or remove catalog databases.

  25. Select the down arrow next to Show to view the Enabled databases to automatically search in EBSCO Discovery Service. Selecting Disabled will show the databases currently not searched in EBSCO Discovery Service. Note: OhioLINK Library Catalog is set to “Disabled” in library accounts.

  26. Select the Searching subtab to view catalog limiter settings.

  27. On the Limiter setup screen, administrators can set the order, default settings, choose to display or change the labels of limiters. Select Modify next to the Location Limiter to set default locations. For example, set Northeast Ohio Medical University Catalog as the default catalog.

  28. Administrators can set the order of which catalog is listed first on the search page. Administrators can set the default catalog Location to be searched. Users have the option to change the default selection.

  29. Northeast Ohio Medical University Library Catalog has been set as the default catalog to display results on the result list.

  30. Holdings table headings can be customized on the Result List as well as the Detailed Display.

  31. Under the Viewing Results subtab, select “Customize Catalog Holdings Table Headings”.

  32. Catalog Holdings Table Headings can be customized for each catalog and can also be formatted in other languages. Sub-Headings are also available.

  33. Additional Customizations to the Catalog Record CustomLinks can be added to the holdings table and can be customized to appear based on a condition. For example, a link to an ILL form can appear if the book is not available.
