  2. Proportional Differences “The invisible Web comprises 7,500 terabytes of information, compared to 19 terabytes of information on the ‘surface’ Web” (Pack 2002). The amount of information increases exponentially every year.

  3. The Internet The Web – what you can access through typical search engines. The Invisible Web – what is not indexed by typical search engines or is protected content.

  4. Why the Databases on the Invisible Web Are Better Most are peer-reviewed or are from more scholarly resources than what is generally found on the Internet. Evaluating the reliability of the source is much easier. (authenticity, scope, bias, authority)

  5. So How Do I Get To the Invisible Web? www.bisdlmc.pbworks.com This is the BISD Library Media Specialists’ Electronic Resource Toolkit wiki. The state and local databases can be easily accessed from the wiki. See your library media specialist for passwords. Prepared webliographies can be found on the sidebar.
