Mölnlycke Health Care AB Branch: Surgical Equipment Location: Karviná Industrial Zone Present since:2002 Number of Employees: 180 Mölnlycke Health Care AB, headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden, is a world leader in single-use surgical equipment. The company launched operations in the Karvina Industrial Zone in 2002, and has recently begun an expansion. This recent investment has doubled the size of the plant, reaching approximately 10000 M² of high quality standard premises, especially designed for the manufacture of sterile medical devices. These successful investments in the Czech Republic were made in record time and are already providing jobs to 180 people. The vast majority of personnel have been recruited from the Karvina region. "This second step of our investment programme in Czech Republic is a significant milestone for Mölnlycke Health Care and further enhances our ambition in the New Europe" Thomas Olsson, Vice-President and Director of Surgical Business Area.
