  2. Mission & Vision • Deliver high quality learning to adults & non-traditional students worldwide • Deliver learning that is affordable, accessible, and effective • Prepare students for a wide range of careers • Continually enhance educational tools & methods

  3. Student enrollment stagnant over past 3 years • Decline in student retention • Retention rates trail peer institutions • Perceived lack of social presence • Difficulty creating effective learning objects • Difficulty fostering sense of community Challenges

  4. Incorporate new tools & technologies • Facilitate more effective & efficient learning • Enhance the learning environment Technology Proposal • Tools that can eventually replace the LMS

  6. Tool Selection: • Asynchronous communication • Synchronous communication • Content development • Multimedia development • Assessment & feedback Technology Suite

  9. Deliver and present content effectively and efficiently Content Development Tool

  10. Create and deliver multimedia content & provide students with a tool to create multimedia presentations Multimedia Development

  11. Allow student work to be submitted & facilitate the feedback between teachers and students. Feedback & Assessment

  12. Each tool was evaluated & scored using the SECTIONS framework introduced by Bates & Pool (2003) Selection Process
