  3. “A subject concerned with state system”-Palmer and perkins.“IP means those aspects of interactions and realations of independent political communities in which some element of opposition,resistance or conflict of purpose or interest is always present .”-Sprout and Sprout.

  4. All these definitions clearly reveal the existence of big diversities among scholars regarding the meaning, nature and scope of IR. Some scholars conceptualise it as a system of interactions among nations which involve the use of threat or power.They prefer to call it IP.Some others define it as relations among nations and call it IR.

  5. NATURE OF IP TO MORGENTHAU,“IP like all other politics , is struggle for power . Whatever may be the ultimate aim ,its immediate aim is always power.” Like politics , IP is struggle for power among nations and it has following variables:
