  3. Transmitting and Receiving • For communication to take place both transmitting and receiving must occur successfully. Transmitting and receiving information processes are an integral part of all other information processes. Whenever communication between hardware components occurs transmitting and receiving information processes is also occurring

  5. Parallel Transmission • parallel transmission refers to the process of sending two or more packets of information that are relayed over two or more lines at the same time.
