  5. Nationality or Location? • Ser is used for Nationality (CNOTE) • Estar is used for Location (TLF) This means that sometimes you might confuse their uses because a place can be used with both words. Ex. Mario es de Brasil, peroahoraestá en los EstadosUnidos.

  8. Characteristic or Feeling? • Ser is used for Characteristics (CNOTE) • Estar is used for Feelings (TLF) This can be confusing because adjectives are used with both of them. Ex. Héctoresmoreno. Hoy élestámuycansado.
