Bow Hunting • Bow have been around for a long time • The first bow was a long bow • It was c shaped and most of the time was made out of wood • The string was made out of animal guts • The arrows were also made out of wood • The tips of the arrows were made out of Flintstone • The back of the arrow had feathers on them to help keep the arrow straight • We are still using long bows today

Compound bow • Technology has come along ways since the long bow • A compound bow is a lot smaller than a long bow • A Compound bow can shoot a arrow a lot faster than a long bow • Instead of using wood arrows we are shooting carbon fibers through a compound bow which goes a lot faster • By shooting carbon fiber arrows they fly a lot straighter • We are using broadheads on the end of the arrow instead of the firestone the Indians were using • We are now putting sights on the bow to help with aiming

  6. Muzzleloader • Muzzleloader have been around for a long time • Muzzleloader were the first rifle produced • Muzzleloader you load the black powder and the bullet in the barrel

  7. Some of the equipment used for muzzleloader hunting • Bullets • There are many different kinds of bullets • Black powder • What launches the bullet out of the gun • Primer • Sparks when the trigger is pulled which ignites the powder

Rifle Hunting • There are three parts to a Rifle • The stock or the place where you hold the gun • The action where the trigger and bullets are • The barrel or where the bullet is launched from • You can shoot a Rifle a lot farther than a muzzleloader • There are many calibers of Rifle • 22 caliber • Can be used for bunny hunting or just shooting targets • 22/250 • used for varmint hunting • 30-06 • Middle of the road you can use this for most of the big game animals Deer hunting, elk hunting, etc
