Istat Modernisation Programme: Stat2015 • Launched in 2010, it aims at revamping the business chain by 2015, through coordinated multiannual projects • It provides an overall framework for methodological, technological and organisational innovations • It is consistent with European and international best practices • It leads Istat from a stovepipe model towards an integrated production system based on common infrastructures and services Nadia Mignolli. Organisation and Resources • Development projects are led by teams involving human resources distributed within several Istat organisational units • Projects are focused on specific stages of the GSBPM-based production process • Specific resources in the budget are allocated to Stat2015 projects • Investment planning (e.g., methodological and IT support) reflects the high priority assigned to the programme • In 2013 and 2014, about one fifth of the whole budget is allocated to Stat2015: 106 Projects with a relevant impact on the programme, divided into Masters(55%) and Supporters(45%) Nadia Mignolli. Main Results So Far (I) • Business Architecture (BA) • It is considered the tool for achieving modernisation in Istat • It is the conceptual and strategic part of Enterprise Architecture (EA) • It drives the overall EA(its four layers – AA; IA; TA) within an NSI • It covers all the activities undertaken to produce statistical outputs, including conceptualisation, design, build and maintain information and application assets • It is a reference model to optimise work processes within an Institution/Organisation and make them more efficient.
