Procedures • ARRIVAL- Enter classroom, place backback on hook, remove all needed items, sit in assigned seat, & start boardwork. • GMS- Do not sit or stand until instructed, walk quietly to & from lunchroom, sit criss-cross, participate, & no talking. • HALLWAY- Do not stand until asked, line up as told, hands close to body, walk on right side of hallway, no talking, & listen for instructions.

  3. Procedures • BATHROOM- 1 boy & 1 girl goes at a time. Boys place blue cup on desk & girls place pink cup on desk, drink from water bottle, follow hall procedures, & only during non-instructional time. • CLASSROOM- Raise hand & wait to be acknowledged before talking, one person speaks at a time, always push in chair, follow directions, & classroom rules. • MATERIALS- Paper & pencils available at all times, do not sharpen pencils, only needed materials should be on desk, & parents will be notified if additional supplies are needed. • AR READING- Read a book at your level, always have a book, seek others at your level to borrow books, enter book in AR log before you read, ask to test, see teacher after test to sign log, & remain quiet

  4. Procedures • CLASSROOM HELPERS- Each table will have a team leader each week. Leader will be instructed by teacher to carry out specific tasks. The class as a whole will have a MESSENGER that goes outside the room to deliver messages, a MATERIALS MANAGER that will pass out & collect papers, a FLOOR CLEANER that is responsible for the cleanliness on classroom floor at the end of the day, a WATER BOTTLER, who will fill bottles each day, a PAPER FILER who will file student papers for take home folders, & a COMPUTER TECH that will turn on computers each morning and shut down computers each afternoon. • COMPLETING ASSIGNMENTS- Your work is YOUR responsibility, turn in current day's work in top basket, homework is turned in to bottom basket, homework is assigned Monday through Thursday listed on newsletter, 2 days no homework miss recess.

Procedures • CARPET ACTIVITIES- Come to carpet as instructed, sit in rows, sit criss-cross, no talking unless instructed, hands in lap, listen carefully, & return to seat when asked quietly and respectfully.. • CENTERS- Literacy choice centers. Groups of 4-5, stay in assigned center, ask center partners before teacher, do not disrupt Guided Reading groups, & read when work is completed • DISMISSAL- Get materials together, clean area, stack chair, get backpack from hook, put backpack on desk, & I DISMISS, NOT THE BELL!!

REVIEW • Each table will have a team leader. • Classroom helpers will be assigned each week. • Community pencils and papers to be shared. • Boardwork each morning. • Sit criss-cross on carpet. • 1st person in line is door holder for class. • Pencil sharpening only during centers. • Always read a book when work is completed. • Water bottles passed out after recess & P.E. • Walk quietly in hallway. • Respect sign held up to get attention, you stop talking, look at teacher

REVIEW • Hands close to body at all times. • One person speaks at a time. • Ask another student, then Ms. Foster. • Use bucks during centers, recess, & end of day. • 1 boy & 1 girl at restroom at a time. • Homework goes in bottom basket. • Daily work goes in top basket. • 3 students in classroom library at a time. • Stack chairs at the end of each day. • Stand and push in chairs. Wait for directions. • I dismiss, not the bell.
