  1. Vincent Van Gogh "Fou-Roux (Crazy Man)" Van Gogh was a Post- Impressionism artist. This meant that the artist used vivid colors, thick application of paint, distinctive brushstrokes, real-life subject matter, to distort form for expressive effect, and to use unnatural or arbitrary color. Vincent was born in Groot-Zunden, Holland. He was highly emotional and lacked self confidence. Van Gogh decided to start painting the last 10 years of his life and produced over 1000 paintings. He committed suicide in 1890. I would describe Van Gogh’s work as it being very bold and colorful. He also used a lot of detail. I thought most of his work was beautiful. Candace Fass

In his art he shows and expresses things like nature and outdoor places.. and he also has a few paintings of him self.

  9. In my opinion, this artist is quite amazing. He seems to be trying to show something through what he is painting. Born Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi in Florence in 1445, Botticelli was apprenticed to a goldsmith. Later Botticelli Sandro was a pupil of the painter Fra Filippo Lippi. Botticelli Sandro spent all his life in Florence except for a visit to Rome in 1481-82. There Botticelli Sandro painted wall frescoes in the Sistine Chapel of the Vatican.
