  10. Dress Code (per NEISD policy) Student Dress Code: I would appreciate your help with our student dress code. The dress code in its entirety can be found on theNEISD website. NEISD believes that school performance and future success are enhanced by appropriate dress and good grooming. Parents/Guardians are strongly urged to work closely with the school to ensure student's adherence to these standards. Here are a few clarifications for our Huebner students. Shorts may be worn to school as is stated in the handbook. Huebner's guideline is that shorts should be "fingertip" length. Students in 2nd-5th grades should be able to demonstrate for you what this means as teachers have reviewed it this week with students. Hair Color: Hairstyles and color should not distract from the learning environment. Huebner's guideline is that hair should be "natural" in color. Pants/leggings that are made of spandex or similar material must have an item of clothing worn over the material that completely covers the student’s front and back to the length of the student’s bottom to ensure modesty. Shirts:Halter tops, exposed midriffs or backs, and spaghetti straps are not permitted. Tanks/sleeveless shirts are prohibited unless the width of the shirt’s shoulder is at least 3 fingers wide.
