  3. Conducting an Interview • Interviewing is an art. • Building rapport: • Make a good first impression. • Always have a positive approach. • Stress confidentiality. • Answer questions frankly. • Interview respondent alone.

  4. Additional techniques • Be neutral throughout. • Never suggest answers to the respondent. • Do not change the wording or sequence of questions. • Do not form expectations. • Do not hurry through the interview.
