  1. Tampere, Finland Inhabitants- 213344 Average income 31000 €

  2. The previous proposal: a mobile-phone pieces factory Wedisagreewiththisproposalbecause in Finland thereisalready the Nokia factorythatisoneof the mostimportant mobile companies in the world and itsatisfiesallcustomers’ requests.

  3. Tampere Hall It is the largest congress, exhibition and concert center in the Nordic countries. It has got 3996 seat with main hall containing 1800 of them. Exhibition space: 1244 sq. Metres. People from all over the world

  4. Our proposal: a cheap, cosy and multicultural hotel Since many foreign people go to Tampere to see a concert or to visit an exhibiton they cannot come back home immediately so they need a place to stay. Besides if they don’t want to spend so much money they would be happy to find a cheap hotel with caring staff and their home cuisine. So a hotel with these peculiarities would be a good idea for starting a business in Tampere

  5. The pros • The most developed sector is tertiary; • 61 % of employees work in the sector and 52 % of companies are related with this sector. • Many potential customers for the Tampere Hall; • Near by the Hall there are few hotels; • Land prices for building are not very high; (5200 €/hectare) • The university is in front of the Tampere hall and students could eat in the hotel’s restaurant for lunch.

  6. The cons • There are other hotels in the city, but they are all high class, so it’s not a problem building a cheaper one; • Perhaps inside the university there is a canteen but some students may prefer a restaurant and if the students didn’t come the amount of customers coming from the Hall would be enough.

  7. Conclusions In conclusion a cheap, cosy and multicultural hotel with restaurant near the Tampere Hall may be a very good proposal for opening a business in Finland
