How Fractions, Decimals and Percentages ARE RELATED

By Oliver, Christian And Nick

- Decimals are a part of a whole number.
- Money is a good way to explain decimals because it has dollars and cents.
- Lets say Billy had $2.50 and he spent $2 he would have 50 cents or 0.2 left.
- If you needed $10 and you had $9 he would have 0.9 of what he needed.
- A good way to explain decimals is that they are part of a whole number.
- 0.9 is nearly 1 but its not. and 36.9 is nearly 37 but its not quite.
