6. Changes to Assessment Arrangements (2017 and onwards) • To maintain the integrity of courses: • Most courses have an extension to existing question papers • May also include: • Extension to coursework • New question paper • New item of coursework

7. Assessment approaches National 1 - 4 • No external Assessment • Internal unit assessment • Added Value Unit - internally assessed • Pass / Fail National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher • External assessment- exam and coursework (extended from 2017 >) • Graded A-D (D is a passing grade)

8. Assessment approaches National Progression Awards • No external Assessment • Pass / Fail Equivalent to a C Pass (NQs) at the relevant SCQF Level
