  3. Role of the Advisor The University requires that each student organization be advised by at least one faculty or staff member. Must be a full-time St. Cloud State University employee during the academic year in which one serves unless otherwise approved by CSOLD. Serve without pay and not be provided release time from other professional duties unless specified in a job description. Represent and protect the interests of St. Cloud State University in all matters pertaining to the organization.

  4. Things you should know Does my organization have… A Huskynet Account Email, file space, etc. Any Accounts 900 and/or 334 Storage Space A locker or storage room A Mailbox All organizations do! Officers? They are all required to have three officers.

  5. Annual Registration Requirements Requirements: 1. Complete the online registration requirements in Collegiatelink 2. Send at least one person from your organization to one of the required workshops Deadline is September 30 Registration Assistance Thursday, Sept. 2, 4 – 5 p.m. in Miller Center 207 Friday, Sept. 3, 11 a.m. – noon in Miller Center 207 Friday, Sept. 3, Noon – 1 p.m. in Miller Center 207 Bring your three officers info, ten members info and advisor info Questions, help with the new club management system or registration in general can be directed to the CSOLD Resource Desk at 8-3004 or studentorgs@stcloudstate.edu.

  6. Annual Registration – Required Workshops Required Workshops: Wed. Sept. 15 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Thurs. Sept. 16 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Mon. Sept. 20 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tues. Sept. 21 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. All are in the Atwood Alumni Room Sodexo kitchen training will be provided at each of the above required workshops for groups that need to meet that requirement (groups with a cultural night). Cultural Organizations affiliated with Multicultural Student Services: Met this requirement already on Friday, August 27 at the MSS Retreat Sport Clubs: Met this requirement already at the first sport club council meeting on September 7 At least one person from each organization must attend one of the required workshops. Students may represent more than one organization when they attend. Advisors may attend as the group representative if needed.

Important Dates Annual registration deadline Thursday, September 30 Sidestreet Thursday, January 20 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Atwood Main Lounge Student Government Trainings Treasurer Training Clinics September 27 & 28 in the Atwood Theater at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3 p.m., or 3:30 p.m. on each day Required for any organization that HAS a FY 2011 budget Budget Training Times, dates and locations TBA Required for any organization that WANTS at FY 2012 budget Annual Budget Request Deadline TBA This is the deadline to request a budget for FY 2012 All of this information is on our website at www.stcloudstate.edu/csold/organizations under Events and Training.

  9. Updates/Reminders New finances section to the guidebook Budget printouts Vehicle User Agreement Students driving for any organization purpose must complete this each year. A link to the agreement is on our website under organization resources/travel. Room reservations There is a $25 fee for no showing to a room reservation in Atwood Funding this year Graphic standards On publications, please put the following disclaimer, “A registered student organization of St. Cloud State University.” University letterhead is only for official university business New social host ordinance
